What the society does
One hall, one trail network,
one very full calendar.
Membership
Forty dollars a year.
That's the whole pitch.
It keeps the lights on at the hall, the propane topped up, the trails cleared and the griddle hot. It also gets you the member rate on rentals, the current trail map, and a heads-up before the rides fill.

The hall is available to members and non-members alike. It is a plain, warm, well-kept room with a proper kitchen behind it — no corkage, no coordinator, no hidden line items.

Why bother joining
Three honest reasons.
It isn't just a snowmobile club anymore.
We started as one, and the sleds still run. But in March 2025 we incorporated as a year-round society, and the calendar has been full ever since — breakfasts in the shoulder seasons, potlucks in winter, rides and the pig roast through summer.
Every dollar stays on South Road.
There is no head office and nobody is on payroll. Your forty dollars pays for propane, insurance, grader time, and the groceries for the next community breakfast. Nine neighbours run the whole thing between them.
You'll actually know people by June.
This is a short stretch of road with a lot of long driveways. Come to one breakfast and you will recognize half the room at the next one. That is the entire reason the hall exists.

What folks say at the door.
We bought out here in the fall and didn't know a soul. Went to the Valentine's potluck on a whim and came home with three phone numbers and a casserole dish that wasn't ours.
Booked the hall for Mum's 80th. Marie met us with the keys, the kitchen was spotless, and the whole weekend cost less than renting a tent would have.
I ride with a group most Saturdays now. It started because somebody at the breakfast leaned over and said, you've got a quad, right?

Pull in, park anywhere,
walk right in.
You don't have to know a soul to show up, and you don't have to be a member to eat. But forty dollars a year keeps the hall standing, and it's how most people end up knowing everybody by June.
